RUNNING ANALYSIS

2D Biomechanical Running Analysis uses 3D action cameras and the latest software to diagnose running related injuries and enhance performance.

what is biomechanical RUNNING analysis?

You may have experienced basic running gait analysis when buying new running trainers. This is different!

Our detailed biomechanical running analysis uses high-speed action cameras and state of the art software to identify angles throughout the whole body during each phase of the running stride.

Runners are dotted with body markers and run on a treadmill for consistency and accuracy.

We assess from 4 views and analyse up to 15 parameters, such as pelvic drop, torso alignment, vertical displacement (bounce), knee, hip and ankle angles, foot placement, and many more.

why you need running analysis?

More than 50% of runners report sustaining a reoccurring injury, and often lose huge amounts of time and money fixing themselves. Whether you are novice or an experienced runner, with bespoke running analysis software we can identify precise measurements that are untraceable to the naked eye.  By combining this with muscle function and strength testing, we can highlight asymmetries and weaknesses that may lead to injury.

From the session we will create a comprehensive programme, consisting of bespoke strength and conditioning exercises and running technique drills. These long-term changes are crucial to avoiding future injury and improving running performance.

Advanced gait analysis can also be used to compare running form between two pairs of trainers. Perhaps your racing shoe is causing too much strain on your lower leg?
